Here is an example of my work as a freelance article writer.
It's a short 500 word piece on Tamworth, written for a client who is putting together a tourist, social network type site. It looks pretty good so far and i'll provide his links when it's finished.
With excellent links via motorway and rail networks, Tamworth's deep seated coal mining community has expanded into a hive of activity and created an entire world of attractions deep within the heart of Staffordshire. Everyone can find something to do in Tamworth.
Tamworth is of course host to Drayton Manor. Just off the M42, Drayton Manor is one of the UK's most premiere adventure parks. There are so many exciting rides and activities available at the park, you're sure to find something for all ages. In addition to the park, Drayton Manor also offers 15 acres of open plan zoo. The zoo is home to over 100 species of animals including endangered species.
If golf is your sport, Tamworth is also home to the prestigious Drayton Park Golf Course. If it means anything to you, the course is an easy walking design by James Braid, making 27 or 36 holes quite achievable without getting too tired. Of course if a private course isn't an option Tamworth also has Amington Municipal Golf Course. This course is popular with professional golfers and beginners alike.
Bowling is something both parents and children enjoy. Strykers have 26 professional bowling lanes, so there is good chance you'll get to have that game without waiting too long. Strykers is also Tamworth's largest interactive entertainment venue with much more on offer. For the little ones there is an exceptional soft play area called Kids Kingdom, and if bowling isn't your thing you can always take advantage of Strykers' Health and Fitness Centre. Of course, on the opposite end of that scale, if health and fitness isn't your thing you could spend your time in one of Strykers stylish new bars or night club.
Ever wanted to go skiing in the UK? The SnowDome offers the ultimate snow and ice experience. There are a variety of leisure activities on offer in SnowDome and two of the primary ones are skiing and snowboarding. You don't have to be an expert either because SnowDome offer lessons for a variety of age groups. There's also a swimming pool, fitness centre, and a variety of fun activities, cafes and bars, and even private parties. SnowDome has enough to keep a family busy all day.
Tamworth Castle houses 900 years of history from the Norman Lords to the early Medieval Kings. Today it offers many regular activities, including: art workshops, living history days, and historical re-enactments. The castle has refreshments, a shop, and is even available for weddings.
As well as all the local tourist and leisure attractions, Tamworth's residents remain content by taking advantage of regular amenities like excellent shopping facilities, a host of vibrant pubs and clubs, and even their very own football club Tamworth FC. Ankerside is the main shopping centre, and as well as all the popular high street names, they also arrange fun activities in the school holidays such as: Circus skills, Creative Workshops, and many others.
